Competition Sonora Pull

Competition dog days are on the 9th

I've seen it on a few videos, but never in person at a pull. Any of you Southern guys ever seen that thing? Does it ever pull against the mod Cummins trucks???

If you're talking about the black Ford, I've pulled against him a few times at some local pulls. When he hooks up and his truck doesn't get out of control it runs good.

the one that came to Tulare was the 7. 3, i was hoping to see that 466 in there. the first year he showed up it was crazy, the next year he had problems. Last i talked to him he said he had 2000 H. P. and was slipping his triple disk clutch. Not sure if it was true but sure sounded good. I think the 466 truck is extended in the front.

i think the guy that owns that truck also owns papa john's pizza. i seen the truck at a pull in centerhall, pa. looked it over pretty good. not much stock but the body. kinda liked the rockwell rears. every time i see it run, he never hooks up good. always on and off the throttle the whole time.

With most all of the local pulling associations and fair boards adopting the "OEM Engine or Engine Must Have Been Available In A 1ton or under truck" rule "Powersnorters" DT466 powered F350 has all but been ruled illegal. Those who you get to chat with from some of those sanctioning bodies say it was done to prevent the rest of the heavy hitters from getting to "creative" with trying to one up him. Who knows where it would have lead if his truck would have been deemed legal and what power the rest of the group would have stuffed into their respective trucks. Imagine Kent Crowder or Dave Mitchell shoving twinned charger equipped KT600's under thier hoods to pull with Franks DT466,the meare thought of that is a scary picture... ... ..... Andy

Yup, that's the one. It is just silly how powerful that thing is. It sounds like the motor never even has any load on it once the turbo(s) spool up. I laugh out loud everytime I watch the video...

He pulled last night in Stanford.

NICE PULL.

None of the big boy Dodge trucks were there to win though.

He only pulled about 20ft more than the street trucks.
