I currently have the stock system with the muffler cut out. I love the sound! I am looking for a stainless system wihout a muffler. Not sure about 4 or 5 inch? I envy you guys with stacks, but i am a little wimpy about cutting holes in the bed. I have seen the dual exhaust from ATS but it has to use the muffler and I am also not a big fan of crome tips. I want it to look like a sewer pipe poking out behind the rear wheels! This may be a little picky but i would prefer the pipe to exit a 90 degree angle. No reason, just like the looks. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

If you want stainless....

you will probably need to go with the banks kit. I personally don't know of another manufacturer that makes one. Sometime I wonder if I should have spent the extra money on it. Not complaining with what I have but if I want to go to an HX-40, I have to find a way to weld dissimiler metals:rolleyes: As far as having no muffler, just order the kit without the muffler and with a piece of pipe instead. :D

stainless systems

the choices are many. Magnaflow among others. pricey, for what you get. why not put on a 4"system, turbo back? aluminized pipe will last a long time on the goat. Jardine, Bullydog, Janetty, Stan's Headers, etc, will have the downpipe. Walker makes a 4" tailpipe. you'll have to supply some 4" straight pipe, but not hard to come by. i have a long straight thru truck muffler in my 4" system, and love it. not too loud, deep tone, and no "drone".

bought my downpipe and tailpipe from doug at www.smokindiesel.com. nice folks, and good service along with good prices.

You can join dissimilar exhaust components with a Donaldson clamp.

Check out Diesel Dynamics, ask for Keith, 800-628-8111. He can also email you a picture of the exhaust system. Excellent workmanship, excellent instructions, & sounds great. Paid $440 plus shipping with TDR discount last year. Also I put on a Megs 4" tip from Geno's.

Call Jerry for the Jardine system. Ask for the sale price, $425. 00 shipping included. I also saw on Desert Diesel`s site the Jardine system is $425. 00 shipping included. The install and fit was childs play, removing the old system was the hard part. The system also comes with a mega chrome tip

I like the Jardine's too. They use a Magnaflow muffler which has a very nice tone. However, if you want a louder sound, then go with a Walker muffler. I believe DD and Janetty uses Walker muffler. I wanted to keep mine relatively quiet.

My truck is getting an ATS single outlet stainless steel exhaust put on this Friday. It's a 4" system but the ATS tips are NOT chrome, they are 5" polished stainless. I believe the pipe is 409 stainless and the muffler and tip are 304 stainless. The muffler is of the you can see straight through it variety.
