What flash level should my 2008 be at? It's been probably over 8 years since my last flash. When the truck was new, I brought it back for about 3 or 4 new flashes. Does Dodge charge for flashes?

With my P2262 and symptoms I'm getting concerned a new turbo is in the near future.

Thanks, John.

Other than a recall, my thought would be it's free during the warranty period, then on your dime after that.

If you had the recall back in about 2010 if I recall correctly, then you have the most up to day flash on your ECU (you can check your VIN for recalls and see if it had the recall, if it did, you are on the most updated flash. (I'll try to snag a ECU details report from one of my scans later which shows the flash part number it is most recent flash for my 2009, it should be the same for your 2008 as well).

If you want to do a reflash yourself, it is possible.

You can get the wiTECH ($133 last I checked), install the software on a Windows 7 Computer (if you don't have one a decent refurb can be had for less than $200 on Amazon), you need high speed internet at your home (I went with ethernet cable, though it can be done with WiFi), then a subscription to Mopar TechAuthority (I found best value was 7 days, $70, there are cheaper shorter subscriptions you can get as well). So depending on if you need the computer or not you are looking at between $200-400 for the tools to do your own flash, and with the bonus of having the tools for all future needs (you can also verify the flash on all the other computers as well, program keys, etc)... if you spend $200 at the dealership you have no tools to keep, and it is indeed a system designed to get you to keep coming back for more!
