What fuel tanks

I am putting a cummins in a 84 chev that currently is turbo propane powered,so i need to reinstall gas tanks. i have two different pickup styles to choose from. can i use the newer in tank fuel pump style [they are from a gas pot] or should i go with the older non fuel pump style? i am wondering about volume and will the fuel pumps burn out do to diesels different properties? thx Dana PS what about gas fuel tanks has anybody used them? what did u do to prepare them

The diesel tanks are probably different than the gasser tanks. The diesels would have a return fitting, and probably a different vent line. Could be wrong, though. Been a while since I've worked on the '83 GMC diesel that the guy I used to work for has.

i have one diesel tank and two gas tanks they are the same the difference is in the pickups, the fuel injection gas ones have a return and a vent, the diesel have only a return,they are interchangeable between tanks Dana
