I'm still on my first tank with the additive,I was waiting to run a few tanks,to soon to tell performance wise,BUT,this I know already,my motor is definitely quieter. Dave

Can't wait to get mine. I just got my order confirmation in the mail today. How long did it take for you guys to get yours after receiving confirmation?

Do you think they will have any problem shipping a 5 gal pail north to B. C. Canada?

And is anyone in the lower mainland interested in 1/2 or 1/3 spliting of pail. ? Bushwakr / Alk. ;)

I could even pick it up at the border if it would be cheaper.

I want to get some to Alaska but I am guessing that that would be terribly expensive. How did they ship it to you guys??? UPS or ???

JR2,

It came U. P. S. Gary From Amalgamated didn't say anthing about $35 for the lower 48 states only?

Maybe someone from Canada will chime in who has ordered.

I was hoping for some peliminary fuel milage results by now to see if it will be worth switching from Amsoil's additives.

I can't say much on mpg. Maybe 1. 5 - 2 on VW TDI and 1 on CTD. It's hard to tell with my driving style. With Kubota time will tell. Obviously, driving style doesn't change with tractor-need constant rpm. The difference is quite evident in noise. All three engines have become a lot quieter. Smoke is not an issue with TDI and Kubota; doesn't make much difference with CTD (lot of overfueling).

Were you using a fuel additive before the Amalagamated??

First, unless I got singled out, the shipping went up to $40. Too many buckets going to places farther than $35 would carry it. Still a good price for 5 gallons. So those of you in Alaska should get it for the same price as the rest of us.

I got mine the day before heading to down to Salt Lake City for dyno day on the 15th, so I filled up and added the recommended amount of Amalgamated. Put more in at fill up for the trip back. I'm on my second tank of normal 'round the town driving since.

So far, no real mileage gain seen, but I moved my plate forward for dyno day and I've had my foot in it a lot lately since - too much fun. I'll try to settle down now. As others have said, I think the engine is smoother and maybe a scoche quieter. Maybe I'll move my plate back for a tank or two for a more accurate comparison. I was using Stanadyne on nearly every fill-up in the past.

A couple guys might get it in Ak for the $40 shipping but when they see what UPS charges them to ship to Ak that will end. UPS only does 2nd Day Air to Ak and a T-shirt costs $15 bucks to ship that way. I guess I will wait and see how Animal does on his order. If that does not work I am going to order some and have it shipped to my uncle, then this winter my Dad can pick it up and haul it back to AK in the bed of his truck.
