I’m wanting to add a factory style hidden 5th wheel hitch to my truck. Looking at Mopar, Reese, Curt, etc and I can’t figure out what I need. Everything comes in several parts or is sold separately and I’m to the point of confusion. Is there a single “kit” that has everything I need for the truck minus the actual drop in hitch? If not can someone point me in the right direction as to what I need?
Thanks!

Are you talking about the below the bed mount with the pucks that fit through holes in the bed for a 5th wheel attachment?

If so, I think your only option for that is the oem setup, no aftermarket kit to duplicate that.

Now, you can add the underbed mount for a gooseneck ball, and then there are 5th wheel hitches that will attach to that, but not the 4-point puck mounts like the factory below bed 5th wheel setup.

I see you have a Mega cab, so it's a short bed, same as I have, and I use the gooseneck ball mount with an Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch that attaches to it.

Not to muddy the waters here
My truck did not come with the oem 5th wheel prep option. I did not want it either as I already had a B&W 5th wheel hitch from my old truck. I chose to put in a B&W Turnover Ball Hitch for gooseneck towing

and then I use the B&W companion for when I tow the fifth wheel though you may want a slider for yours which they have as well

B&W arguably makes some of the best hitches out there.

Do not mean to make it sound like the oem setup is not good as it probably is I just liked what I had and wanted to stay with it.

You can just add a B&W under bed mount, but you will need a 5th wheel hitch that works with the underbed mount you go with.

I think 2013 was the first year of the puck mounting system. If you have that all you need for a 5th wheel is the Curt or B&W hitch. I would go with the B&W Companion, just not a fan of the cast metal Curt.

If you do not have the OEM pucks you could go this route, its the complete kit with both items: https://www.etrailer.com/multi-prod...201321549&HHYear=2013&HHMake=Ram&HHModel=3500

If you do have the puck prep all you need is this: https://www.etrailer.com/p-BWRVK3600.html

Here is the Curt version: https://www.etrailer.com/p-C16545-16021.html

If you don't have the OEM puck system in the bed already you might want to add the OEM puck mounting parts. But I also like the turnoverball mount under the bed, its great for GN trailers. I've had the B&W in multiple trucks now, I like the companion set up overall.

I use B&W hitches... they r bulletproof... I have both the 5th wheel and tge adjustable bumper pull.. would not use anything else

Your sig says 2013 2500, which is the early 4th Gen frame. I’m not sure you can add the 5th wheel prep kit to that frame.

B&W turnover ball with a companion 5th wheel hitch would be the best and most hidden setup when removed.

I have the B&W in my 20'.... works great and no complaints. I would never go back to having the rail type like I had in the 04....EVER!.

My 2018 long bed came prepped for the B&W turnover ball goose-neck. I went with the companion 5th wheel hitch also.
EYTA for pictures..

The hitch is not touching the bed. The balance is perfect. I can slide the 4X4 overhead for alignment.

I never had the rails in the bed of any of my trucks over the years. I bought GN and tag trailers to avoid the 5th wheel hitch rails till B&W came out with the Companion system, I was already sold on the turnoverball. Even the regular GN plates were better than those rails. I still have that turnoverball hitch system working fine in my 1995. Time sure fly's by.

It took Ram till 2013/2014 to come out with a factory underbed mount. Now the OEM hitch from Ram made by Curt is shared with Ford and GM. I do have the Curt Class 5 receiver hitch under my wimpy one on the 2003, its been a good set up. But, the B&W Companion hitch still gets my vote as best 5th wheel hitch.

My Companion Slider is 266 lbs. If you can pick that up on your own several times a year without requiring surgery to put the stones back in the pouch your more of a man than I am :D:D

Well I didn’t mention the slider. But I will never own a short bed so I won’t have to see if I can lift it.
