Looking For A Wire For My Brakes?

I am considering upgrading my injectors. What do you guys recommend. I currently have stock injectors, and don't plan on upgrading fuel lines, or adding a spring kit. Should I keep what I have? go 215, 275 larger? Are there any undesirable side effects?

Exchange the plate for TST #5. If you still want more, 215 hp injectors come next. New genuine ones from Bosch are expensive; low mileage cleaned and balanced ones somewhat less. The spring kit is a good idea when you go for that much hp, and the transmission will be closer to the edge of what it will hold.

Thanks Joseph,

regarding your comment about putting the transmission at the edge, Is that with just the #5 plate, or is that with the #5 plate and 215 injectors. I don't like being on the bleeding edge.

I just put in a set of new 230 hp injectors while I was in Colorado. At least that's what they told me they were. NICE improvement too! I already have the #5 plate, 16cm2 housing, big K&N cone filter, and BD stuff in the transmission.

Now to get my exhaust temps down so I can tow better at higher elevations...

Hi Joe,
With the 370s that I got from you, did I inadvertently go over "the edge?" If I did, I love it. #ad

I would like to offer a different opinion and answer your original question. I think the 215's would probably help tremendously and the 275's will give you great power. Do the injectors. I see you have a torque plate installed now and with the smaller injectors you may be compromising the life of your pump. The diesel shop I basically live in used to see the pumps fail after the fuel pressure was increased (torque plate) but the injector size not changed. This does not happen to every pump, but I would hate to see another P pump bite the dust. That would be alot more expensive than the injectors.

We should forget about the 275 hp injectors for the 12 Valve engine. I don`t know of one person running them. They are from a marine application and supposedly don`t work well with the truck engines. The same can`t be said for the 370`s though.

Our best bet is the 215`s or the Diamond "B" 370`s. The extrude honed Diesel Dynamics are another option.

Joe D has experience with the 275 Marine Injectors. He hated em #ad
