Best Price on PacBrake?

cocked,locked, and ready to rock

Been thinking of speeding up the burn out rate on my clutch:D I have gauges and an EZ but my clutch refuses to give up. I'm getting itchy to add more horses and am thinking that adding injectors would do the trick. I would like more low end power. I tow horses and also commute in my truck. what would give me the best combo with my EZ?

TIA AC

I am in the RV Biz and use my truck for towing. I ran an EZ and Stage 1 injectors up to 94,000 miles, took the stuff off the 01 truck and installed it on my 02. Sold my 01 and the guy is still driving on the same clutch. Who knows?????????????

DDIII's ?

I thought the DDIII's had issues overheating unless you upgraded your turbo. I have the money for injectors and a clutch but that's about it. I want the wife to be able to tow the horses without worrying about the EGT's too much. I can hear the argument now... . :-{} Is it easy to overheat the engine running the 3's? How much of a difference is there between the 2"s and the DD3's?

I see your from Enumclaw, go down to the power shop and ask for Evan Beck(Drives and 01' garrnet red 2wd) real nice guy. Talk to him, he knows his stuff. Also you might try calling Lenny at Dyno-Mite Diesel in Monroe at 866-774- DYNO. They both can answer just about all your questions

I am in the process of doing the same, an EZ & 275's. What concerns me is what ive read about a boost module(what in the hell is that) and adding so much boost that you trigger some code that puts the engine in some kind idle mood. Help would be appreciated

Thanks for the ideas. I was at the latest bomb party at Robs place and that's what got me thinking! Quite a difference of opinions. They seem to be big believers in the DD's. Some say the 275's are a "nice" combo with the EZ. Others say I'm going to end up with the DDIII's anyway so why dink around. Still others say go with the DDII's and avoid the EGT issue. Just wondering what folks around the rest of the country are doing. I like the idea of the 275's being inexpensive and perhaps even getting away with my stock clutch a little while longer. I'm wondering just exactly how they improve the power. Is it off the line acceleration, or torque, or just a mild over all improvement?

Ac,save yourself some money,go with dd2's or 3's. If you watch the guages good go with 3's,other wise get the 2's. You will end up getting them anyway.

No worries.........

The EZ has a built in boost fooler. Your truck isn't in your sig so I can't tell what year you have. That would make a difference on how you would disable the turbo waste gate. Without disabling it you wouldn't set codes anyway.

Okie

Okie, are you still on your original clutch? If so, how many miles have you put on your EZ/275 combo? And how much of a difference did you notice with the addition of the injectors?

AC, I was also at Rob's party and installed my 275's. Nice combo for towing for sure. I can pull my 9000# 5vr with ease. BUT, 20 minutes after install I took it for a test ride and slipped my clutch  . If I drive it nice it won't slip but if I bury the go pedal look out. So I have to drive it nice while saving for a SBC :D Sixpack
