Will a 05 Cummins work with a ford 4r100 auto transmission?

Help wanted Chevy Cummins Conversion

Ok I searched for a hour and didn't find what I was looking for. I have a 92 f350 with a n/a 7. 3 that I'm doing a 5. 9 swap. What innercooler will work with this it has a/c and the big diesel radiator?? Powerstroke cooler?

I have done a few of these conversions and the easiest intercooler to use is the Ford 99 PSD intercooler. Go on Ebay and get the 99-00. The newer ones are plastic so ensure that you get the aluminum one. The cooler fits resonably well with little cutting to the front of the truck. It will fit around your stock rad also. You can still keep the AC up front also.

Other the stocker units, I am not sure what else will "drop right in" with little mods. I'm trying to remember the years Banks offered innercoolers for the N/A diesel ford's. I am pretty sure they do offer an innercooler/ turbo kit for your truck. They used to sell the innercooler seperate as I know people who needed replacements due to accidents etc.

The 99 ps innercoolers will fit around the diesel radiator. I saw a post where a guy had to cut up the inlets to make it fit the diesel radiator. I just want to be sure be for I buy one,and what did you use cooler hoses???

You can leave the intercooler intact, no cutting required. I used the typical intercooler boots and 3" tubing to make up the intake lines. 92 should be new enough that all you have to do is clearance the rad support to make it fit. Some of the earlier fords you have to cut up the intercooler inlet and outlet to make it fit. The hood release is very close also, make sure you mount it low enough to clear it. I think I had to trim the lower portion of the hood release to fit.
