I just finished putting a 1991 6bt in a 1989 chevy 1 ton dually. I have an inter cooler for a 02 ford but it will not fit. Has anyone put an inter cooler in a late model Chevy and if so which one did you use?
My buddy used a first gen cooler, but he had to rework the core support to get it in. He also used a first gen radiator. This is on a 90 GMC, silverado, I think.
I stuffed a 2000 PSD cooler into my 1994 Chev truck. I had to do a little modifications to the rad stall to make it work. I also have a narrower rad than the stock Chev to make it all fit together.
Go to my readers rig to see pics of the install. I have other pics not listed there I can post if you need more details.
I'm going to use the 2nd gen dodge intercooler mounted upside down. It appears to just clear my after market grill I do not think that it will fit using a stock grill...
