What is a Canuck??????

Yes I know - but was wondering where the name came from. This is what I found:

Canuck

Usualy used as slang name for Canadian Soldiers. Most likely it would have been used 1800's for a Canadian born soldier serving in the British military.

Good question, the "Can" part is easy but dunno where the "uck" comes from. (eh)
