guys what is best tol to correct the speedometer and odometer. Truespeed is the one i know of, how is install, anyone using this.

A local dealer did mine for free as well, takes less then a minute.

DRBIII - ABS menu - "Other" - enter RPM (revolutions per mile) for your particular tire - save - done.

In my opinion, you are better off going to the dealer to get it reprogrammed. If you have a good dealer, they will do it for free. My dealer charged me 1/2 hour labor to do it. The aftermarket modules are electronic and can (and do) go out and need replacement.

The dealer reprogram is a permanent fix as long as you stick with that size tire. You will need to get the revolutions per mile from the tire manufacturer.

This is one of the few times that I will recommend taking the truck to the dealer.

I use the truspeed. it is great especaly when you change tires alot or if you use studs and regular tires in the summer. can have to settings one for slicks or stud and the other for standard tires

I can answer that... I have it as well... . Got my 19. 5" tires dialed in to within 100' in 13 miles.

The truespeed, made by superlift is very easy... . instructions included... 4 wires, + and - and 2 wires for the spedo... the wires, at least on my 01 is right by the brake master cylinder... . A cluster of wires go to a black box that is mounted on edge next to the fuse box... . Tap 2 of those wires then the Truespeed box has a dash-pot screw turn it one way, the speedo goes faster, turn it the other way, slows down... . this has made it works very wel...

I think you can get it at off-road warehouse or something Equal like that...

Hey guys looked at my computer in the truck with a DBR III tool and there is no ABS choice. The list of choices are engine, trans, and body. we looked in each cat. and couldn't find ABS choice, we tried a couple of electronic cards but had no success. I only have ABS on the rear. When did Dodge go from the gear to electronic speed sensor?

Guess if do not here from anyone truespeed is my best bet.

Don't put the box on to fix your speedo, it will void your warranty, saw another thread a while back, it also says it in the owners manual.

Not worried about warranty since my truck has not been covered for a while. there are other things that are voiding my warranty anyway :D

SuperChips

the superchips and I belive the Hypertech both provide for tire size re-calibration. This was the main reason I bought my Superchips. The addition hp and torque plus the ability to read codes is a plus too.

If the hypertech also provides boost fooler (the superchips does not), that is the way to go.

"

I also have the TruSpeed from SuperLift. I've been very happy with mine.

Installation was fast and easy following the instructions. I connected mine with insulated spade fasteners so I could disconnect it if I ever needed to. (I did need to. )

The adjustment is done by turning a screw in or out the required amount. There are two, switch-selectable calibrations, and each has its own screw. You can leave it set up for stock wheels/tires on "A" and Rickson 19. 5" wheels/tires on "B".

I don't have a GPS, but that is probably the best way to calibrate the unit. Next best, the method I used, is to use the mile markers along the highway. You must find a flat, straight road to do that or the different numbers you get will drive you batty. You can also use a radar speed gun if you have access to one. I double check mine with the radar signs that the cops put up around town. "Speed limit: 35 mph. Your speed is: XX mph. "

A couple of years after I bought it (long after any printed warranty had expired), I had a problem with mine. I called SuperLift and they arranged to get me a new replacement without charge. I sent my faulty unit in and they sent the replacement. In the meantime I reconnected the wires and had an uncorrected speedometer. You can't go wrong with SuperLift in my opinion.

You'll like it.
