What is friendship?

I guess we are all friends here, to some degree, but what is true friendship and how does it come to be?

Hey! I'm just trying to bring a little culture to the TDR If we just talk about Dodge/Cummins, we'll all turn into a bunch of old rednecked buzzards.

A friend is someone that you can say anything to at any time without fear of remorse. Civilization is the key.

Did you see "blackhawk down"? That gives you some idea of what friendship and brotherhood must be like. I know it's Hollywood but it's pretty powerful.

One time a welder told me "A "real" friend will go get two **** **** (oral favors) and bring one back for you. " I stayed away from that guy the rest of the project.



Needless to say, I am not a "real" friend to anyone, and I have absolutely no need for that "real" of a friend.

I think the key word in your last post is welder . Some of those pressure guys breathe in too many fumes I'm thinkin'-I've got a few buddies who are B-pressure pipeline welders-they tell some stories alright!



BTW if you're a welder and reading this don't get too upset-as an operator I'm usually the one on the receiving end of nasty comments so once in a while I have to give a few out! I really reserve my wrath for seismic hands anyways...

My wife tells me I have no friends except for her. The others are only acquaintances. Hmmm, I wonder if she is trying to brainwash me... . isn't this how control over another person starts?
