What is KDP

What is a KDP ? --- it's not identified in my 1997 Chrysler service manual. What's the problem with the KDP?

Killer Dowel Pin... . it is a problem that DC and /or Cummins does not want to take responsibility for, it won't be in your service manual. The dowel pin can work itself loose, fall out and cause a couple thousand $$ worth of damage to your engine.
