What is on the Horizon?

I wasn't very long ago that I heard the Cerberus was thinking of purchasing Jag/Land Rover for $1. 5 Billion dollars. I did not think much about it at the time, other then it has been a drain on Ford. Recently I heard on the news that a company by the name of TATA, from India, is considering selling cars in the states for $2,400 dollars! This seems almost impossible to believe. However, in thinking about this I visited the website of TATA. (Tata Group). One of first things I noticed was that they have partner by the name of Cummins, interesting! Who supplies them with a couple of versions of the "B" engine for their commerical vehicles. The next thing I noticed was that they sell some of their cars in the UK, also with a partner, who happens to be none other than Land Rover! This brings up some interesting possibilities for Cerberus by purchasing Jag/Land Rover. Will we see a small Jag or Land Rover vehicle built in India here in the states? Is the this why Cerberus is willing to give Ford $1. 5 Billion for its interest in Jag/Land Rover? Of course like MBZ, Ford is taking a huge loss on the deal. Ford dumped more money in Jag/Land Rover then they care to even mention.

I think they have some of the finest Leather you can buy, that comes stright from Mexico!

"Those sure are some good lookin' tata's down at that dealership!"



I could see the newspaper add now,, "We have the Best Deal on Tata's around!"



Oh dear. Maybe not.
