I have the stock 17" chrome clad steel rims on my truck, I want to get toyo open country at 285 75r17 tires, also I want to put them on American Racing Mojave Teflon rims, but they are 0 offset, anyone know what is the offset to go for to keep the tires in the stock position. I really don't like the look of the wheels sticking out, I like them under the wheel wells. Thanks.

The stock chrome and aluminum 17x8 wheels are 6. 1 in of backspace and +42mm of offset.

For a 0 offset you will be putting your wheels futher out by about 2 inches, plus half of any extra width of the rims you go with

I went with KMC Hoss because they are almost 5. 5 in backspace with like a +25mm offset so they only moved out by about an inch. But, the quality is not the greatest... I would not get them again.
