Considering upgrading the LP but want to put something in that is going to last. How are the PE pumps holding up. And what psi versions are being used in our application. :)

On my current PE4200 I have about 30k on it, a steady 20 psi, and never drops below 18psi WOT. I have been very confident with this pump. No pre-filter, -8 AN lines/fittings, and PE's dual 40amp relay harness, with all 10 and 12 gauge wire.

One would think so. :)

I ran smaller wire/relays on previous PE pumps and had failers, not saying that was/is the cause, but since using they're 40 amp relay harness, it's been smooth sailing.

Rob, you say that you're using AN-8 lines. What kind of metric adapters are you using at the inj. pump? I was just wondering if you're using anything different than the Aeroquip ones I have that have a tiny oriffice compared to even the AN-6 I have. I had my dad machine a little extra out to let them flow more, but there's still a big difference.

Sorry if everyone already knows this... . Where does the PE4200 mount ??

Is it in the stock LP location or back by the tank ?? And if it is back by the tank, do you get a mounting bracket with purchase, or fab your own ??

Jeff

Brian, actually I do have -6 between the filter and the VP, but TT is correct, you can get the fittings from -8 to the VP at ADT.

The only reason I didn't use -8 between the filter and the VP is that I didnt really see the point, since the filter and VP ports are smaller than the -6 already.

Even if you drilled out the VP port, there is still no benifit IMO. Once the fuel enters the VP there is a small cavity (never meassured it, but I'm guessing it's about 1-2 tablespoons in size) and then another 1/4"ish port.

I also fabbed my own bracket, and is mounted by the tank on the outside of the frame.

Sorry, I did'nt mean that I was looking where to get the fitting for AN-8, but if a different fitting was out there that would'nt botlleneck the system down to such a small diameter.
