Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) What is the proper torque for the valve cover on an 02

I am getting some blow by underneath the rubber gasket on the front of the valve. Cover just want to check the torque to make sure that is in spec. It is not serious just enough to make dust stick to it. It still bugs me though

Seedguy , the torque is 9 ftlbs by the manual .

24NM or 18ft lbs.

The 9 ftlbs is by the sevice manual at our shop, but most everyone is using air ratchets and tightens down until stops. use your own judgement and do what you want, if the gasket has any trash on it it will leak reguardless.
