Thanks, TDR Staff

shudder in reverse. transmission or what?

Not your typical 7-Way trailer connector question

Looking at a property for sale and they have a few trailers that were left on site. not sure what this one is used for. figured some of you members might have an idea. Thanks

Loading, hauling, and dispensing a large metal reel of cable, probably underground telephone cable.

That is a fancier version than we see here, that appears to be a self loader judging by the placement of the hydraulic cylinders. Back up to the reel, slide the steel pole thru the reel, adjust the towers to the proper height, back up a little more to engage the pole to the appropriate height hooks and pick it up off of the ground using the hydraulics, then pin the towers.

Neat.....

The ones up here just have stationary cradles, they use a bucket truck to pick the reel up and set it into place.

You guys have such fancy stuff out West... ... . :-laf

I sold equipment to a Southwestern Bell contractor who had a couple of them that they used to reel off cable before plowing it in the ground with a dozer mounted vibratory plow.

I am trying to envision it with platforms welded to the base of the towers as the world's strongest, meanest self lifting tow dolly.

If it has a 12volt hydraulic power pack the possibilites are endless.

Can't tell how wide it is inside from the pictures.

It is crying out for a new purpose in life, you guys are creative. Throw him some ideas.
