What is this type of pyrometer

Hey guys I'm buying my gauges at Diesel Manor and they 2 kinds of pyrometers what is a Band Clamp style pyrometer kit and how do you use it.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but i never heard of this.

A band clamp pyro has a pipe thread fitting secured to a worm drive type hose clamp. It is designed to go in the exhaust pipe requiring you to only drill a small hole for the probe. This way no thread tapping is required. IMHO I would use a conventional probe and go pre-turbo.

the band type clamped pyrometer is great for the V type engines, as you can just drill and clamp the probe into the up pipes going to the charger. .
