2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission What is this?

While installing some aftermarket foglights this weekend, I had to remove the drivers side battery. In the bottom of the battery tray there was flat plastic round disc that had two wires running out of it into a harness under the tray. It fit flat into a hole in the bottom of the tray itself. It was about the size of a quarter. Anybody know what it is?
