I don't mean to ask a stupid question, but what is "torque management", and what does it do, or don't do? I've had an '01 2500 4x4 QCSB for a little over a year now and I am alway's looking for improvement's. I already have an ATS trans. and TST PM3, and a F. A. S. S. , would this benefit me, or I should say my truck? Thank's for any input.

You need to add a CaTCHer. It will complete your search for torque.

I think 'torque management' is a built in feacher in newer trucks.

We have it with movement in the long pedal at the right foot.

I think I get it now, I thought it was something to do with adjusting something in the trans. to improve performance. I read a post where someone used a jumper wire , but now that I think about it, that's an inexpensive way to get the trans. to lock up I believe. I don't need to worry about that. I guess it was a stupid question, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Now for another "stupid question". What exactly does a Catcher do? I've seen them on alot of truck profile's. Will it work with my TST PM3. My truck is an '01, I think I had to do something to the ECM when I installed it, I can't remember. Thank's for any advice, and no chuckling if this is another stupid question! :-laf

torque management is more or less defueling between shifts to control the torque and power to be gentle on a stock transmission

Torque management was put on sometime in the 01 model year. It limits the fuel on a stock truck to try to keep the RPM under 2200 when MPH equals 0. On the 3rd gens they track the input and output speeds of the transmission and defuel if you get out of a certain window.
