Just for those who were wondering. There have been a rash of posts lately on turbos and this just may help. The below list covers the HOLSET Turbos only.

A data plate is fitted to the compressor housing of your turbocharger. The information on this data plate must be quoted for service and parts support.
(A) Assembly or Part Number
Holset Part/Assembly Number for the turbocharger is the number quoted in all Holset publications and is the most useful number for service purposes.
(B) Serial Number
Holset Serial Number is unique to your turbocharger. This number can be used to identify which turbo you have although it will be a longer process than if quoting (A).
(C) Customer Part Number
Customer Part Number is the number given to the turbocharger by the engine manufacturer. This number will be quoted in all the engine manufacturers' literature. There may be more than one Customer Part Number for each Holset Part Number (A).
(D) Turbocharger Type
Turbocharger Type describes the model or frame size of your Holset Turbocharger.
