Wow!

I went to buy a couple of cases of oil at Wally's and the Dello is about $10. 50 or so. The last I bought was closer to $6. 00. The Dello and the Rosmella have always been about the same price, but now the Rotella is $2. 00 cheaper. The Rottela has always given me a headache for the first 1000 miles with the smell. Now the Dello is giving me pains before I leave the store. I have also bought at the local Chevron dist. and they are about the same price as Wally.

I also see that the sythetics have went up as well.

I had always thought lube oils and grease were pretty much a side product of the refining process, and that as fuel output increased, so would the side products - which would hopefully keep prices in balance. I suppose that if we looked at lube oil pricing increases in relation to fuel, it wouldn't look as bad - but I sorta hoped that the lube side effect from refining would outpace fuel output and keep lube supply high, and prices low.

Guess I was wrong! :-laf

There is a whole bunch of volatility in the oil markets for the last 6 months or so. Every part of the industry is going to be affected. Matter of fact every aspect of our lives is being affected... :-laf
