Happy Birthday SmokinRam !!!

Usually, it will be Crown Royal... . good stuff.

But after working down in Mexico most of the year, I've developed a taste for tequila. Jose Cuervo Tradicional is one of my favorites that I can get pretty easy now that I'm back home.

Guess I'll have to start carrying two flasks :D

a nice single malt... Highland Park if I can find it, other wise Oban, Knockcando,Macallan 18 [better than the 12 or the 24 IMHO] , just a few of my favorites...

I have a plastic flask I use for trips that holds a full liter bottle :D

Booze

I don't have a flask but here is your clue to what kind of jug I normally drink from - BV - A blended Canadian Whiskey. Canadian Mist or Segrams is the next choices but if I had loads of money it would be Crown Royal.

Any good single malt scotch, usually a Speyside.

Hummerchick: What type of scotch is this 50 yr. old? Any single malt that old that I've come across runs $8000. to $12000. per bottle, a little pricy for my wallet.

Have also been known to put a litte Appletons Estate rum in the flask, the older the better. Pete

I LOVE single malt scotch. I have had to change from single malt to an Irish whiskey. I have been drinking Bushmills Irish Whiskey. Man this is good stuf.

Have you tried the older Bushmills? It comes in a black coloured tube. A little pricer of course. My hunting buddy drinks Bushmills all the time and I got him a bottle of the good stuff for taking care of my dog while I'am away. Pete

Some kind of brown stuff, like Black Velvet. Lately, BV has been bumped by Crown.

I'm tempted to do Belvedere ... haven't tried it straight yet.

Do this many people actually drink from flasks still? I have a good collection and my grand pappy had one. I guess I don't feel I'm "wise" enough to carry one around yet like pappy did. I'm gettin there though:p

Scotch aficionados, what is the difference between single malt scotch and other scotch? Is scotch similar to bourbon? This is not trivia... I'm really asking this question because I don't know!
