I'm looking to purchase a new Digital Camera as my old 8mm Sony is starting to slowly give up the ghost.
I had been looking at some DVD & Mini-DVD palm cams, but found out they ususally only record an hour at the longest. That really stinks because I could get 3 sometimes 4 truck pulls on one 8mm tape. I had been looking at the JVC Camera with built in hard drive, no mini-DV's, DVD's, etc. , but they run around $800 and I can't drop that kind of $$$ on a camera.
Can anybody recommend a good compact camera for around $400-500 that records at least an hour to 1. 5 hrs, had decent battery life, and I can hook up to my PC to make DVD's.
