what makes a thread "closed"

what or who closes threads?



is there a way to get them open again?



i saw one that was closed right after it was posted new, what happened there?

The friendly administrators have the ability to close threads.

I dont tink they closed these ones, there is nothing questionable in them. and the one didnt even get a chance to be replied to.



the one i am talking about is one, i started, and just when it gets going again it turns up closed. its on the 24v page under "Powermax 3 questions need your input"



why dont they email the person or IM them to warn if its going to be closed if that is the case. i would be more than happy to edit if they dont like the content.

it didnt register that i had replied to it today, or moveup to the top, so i sent a second repy and it wound up closed... ... ????



is this a bug thing.

Todd, just a guess but I think it's a bug. I've seen a couple of other posts that aren't updating correctly.

There is a problem with some threads updating on the page and also with them moving to the top. Ken is aware of it, the index files need to be reindexed because they are corrupted, they will be reindexed once the hardware upgrade is installed. The thread closed thing is something new, I talked with Ken about it and he's looking into it. It seems like the threads aren't actually closed but the button is changing for some reason. At least I can post to it but that may be because I'm a moderator - not sure about that one. Thanks for letting us know.

We didn't close those threads, it's a bug. As soon I saw the other post I contacted Ken and he got right on it. This is the first time this has been brought up - thanks for letting us know.
