Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) what manual trans to use

I would like to remove my 47re auto and replace it with a manual trans. Which would be the best choice for this rig? I have no preference on 5 or 6 speed. Which will be the easiest to install?

If size & weight have much to do with ease, the 5 speed is much easier. JKloppe has a good point though. Checkout Dave Goerend & ATS too. If I didn't like my automatic, I'd be calling Dave.
