Competition Is this enough fuel

What is required to have a bulletproof transmission setup for truck pulling. Targeting the 600 HP range I would guess. Currently have a stock 47RE in the candidate truck.

While I could be partial to a certain brand, and i'm not yet, i'm going to agree with the above post. Each of the company's that you've probably heard on here are probably capable of handling that task, but each in their own way. Some have to use a lockup switch :p, others can get by with fluid coupling. :D But there is also more to the equation than just getting power to the ground. Haisley's demonstrate that well IMO. I'd like to see some big-time competition between the brands at a big event.

Yep, familiar with that Jason. I like that truck of Terry's! Looks like he's got a lot of action going through that engine. Sounds like a tricked valve body is used in that application too. ;) Nice looking truck as well.

Just wish there was more of a showing. Like competition between ATS, DTT, Goerand, Haisley's concauction, etc at one event. Either the rest of the companies don't care just about pulling, or else they need to step up to the plate against Haisley's. I thought DTT was going to have something special come out this year? Never saw anything... . Nothing that I love more, in relation to pulling, than seeing auto-equipped trucks compete against the big stick-equipped trucks!
