25'+5' 23K Gooseneck too much for 01 2500

Gooseneck to 5th?

What are some odd things that you take with you or keep in your RV? Something that other people probably wouldn't have in theirs or even think to bring. I don't want to hear anything kinky now :-laf ;) :D

120V/30A wire feed welder - well not in the RV but under the cover in the truck, just in case.

Oh, and always a full reload of onboard booze. Never know when you may pull into one of them dry counties out there, especially in Utah (and Texas).

I have the ryobi cordless kit. small vac lights drill(s), and saws. I use the drills for lifting the manual jacks on my camper. the small cordless vac was going to be left at home but later found a place for it and use it more than i wouldve thought.

The lights are a no brainer.

Haven't found a need for the sawzall or the circular saw, so I don't bother carrying them.

I carry an inverter and the ryobi charger to charge the batteries.

Inverter works great for my laptop and cameras.

I take the whole enchilada. I used the whole thing on our vacation. Fixed up some decks at relatives homes. I figure I have the room, so why not?

I also take an American flag on an 8 foot pole to lash either to my awning or back of the truck. It may not seem weird or odd, but I don't see very many out there :{ .

Also an inflatable kayak for paddling, fishing, or duck hunting

6' lighted Xmas tree that we put up when landed for 2 or more days.

Now that is classic. Saw a guy one July who had christmas lights strung all over his trailer like the Griswalds, very funny.

Retired 40' hot stick from the power company. Makes a great flag pole to fly our nations colors!! Plus a race flag or two.

..... but lots of electronics.

My Dad is a ham. Back in the 70's as we were trveling around the country, he would bring his set- up including a homehade di- pole antenna. We sure got some looks when he was seting up this and a long wire to a tree. I was kinda' embarrased then, but now I miss those days!

One of my parents go camping with a group of 5 or 6 couples. One of the guys brings his Delphi XM satellite radio reciever. It modulates the signal onto an FM channel and every radio within a few hundred feet can pick up the signal.

wife thinks it's weird...........

cordless drill, a bunch of heavy duty wire ties (like flex cuffs) 12 gauge, M1a, either the P228 or 1911 (with plenty ammo&mags), shovel handle (works good on unleashed over motivated dogs) 30' of heavy chain, expandable baton.
