AutoMeter use to make a Intake Ait Temperature gauge, but looking thru the Jegs catalog I no longer see it listed. It was always separated from the main gauge and listed further back with the data recorders and such. I have one in my truck and use it to measure the intake air charge temperature at the intake manifold, just before it inters the motor. It would be nicer and offer more useful data if I was able to have a before and after look, like when we ran our dragster. I do not know why AutoMeter stoped selling the gauge, but I would suspect low demand, not everyone is as noisy you and I. The Kit contained a standard 2-1/8" gauge, a 1/8" thermocouple, and a control box that went in between the two. You could run two probes per box.
With all the opla today over turbocharged cars, I am sure there is other manufacturers out there that sell simular products. Come'on, doesn't every trubocharged- intercooled nut want to compare before and after intake air temps?
