Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) What produces higher EGT's - DD3's or Mach 2.4's?

Can anyone confirm which injector is hotter?



I currently have DD3's and I want to try out some Mach 2. 4's that I received on a trade but I'm concerned they will be too hot for my setup (see sig). I assumed Mach 2. 4's would produce more heat but I spoke to a couple guys the other day who said the injectors would be very comparable as far as EGT's go.



Does anyone know for sure?

The mach 2. 4's will run cooler and less smoke than the DD3's with the box off.

However, I'm more concerned with EGT's with the box "ON". With the Comp levels on 3X5 through 5X5 wide open will the 2. 4's be hotter? If yes, any idea how much?

I have run both DD3's and Mach 2. 5's and the 2. 5's run cooler with the box on or off.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I though the Mach 2. 4's would be hotter because they have a slightly higher HP rating, but I guess not.

I have heard the Mach injectors are pretty cool (no pun intended)compared to honed injectors. I guess its a fuel atomization thing. But from what I hear they are the best. Slap em' in there and tell us how you like them!Lucky dog,I have been wanting some for a while.

Where does the 2. xx come from? In other words, what does the . 4 in the 2. 4 mean?
