I'm looking at putting a propane kit in my truck and am curious on all ya'lls opinions about the different kits out there. I know Bully Dog makes one as well as ATS. I pull about 10K now.

Thanks!

deadbus... .

i have the powershot 2000 kit and love it! it is fully adjustable. can adjust when it activates under boost, and amount of propane injected. it uses vapor, not lp! its removable and can be swaped between vehicals. very simple instalation:D check them out..... james

watch out!

Hey Deadbus-

I have no PERSONAL experience, but you might do a search for propane on ETH H. O. diesels. If I recall correctly, this combination was blamed for a rash of blown head gaskets on our H. O. trucks! BE CAREFUL!

I have the Powershot 2000, and love it, too, though I rarely use it. It's great for towing trailers.

But with a HO ETH engine, I'd have to agree with Galen, stay away from propane. There are better mods for the buck for the HO engine.

Thanks for the input

Thanks for the help,ya'll. Seems to be a 50-50 split. I think I'll wait till I know more about it.

After following propane threads for a couple of years, there used to be quite a few, it seems the consensus was not to do it due to engine damage. Control valves freezing up seemed to be a major problem. Back then many of the folks in support of propane systems were also selling them and it helped lead to the rule here that vendors identify themselves in posts. Many folks have since removed their propane systems.

Powershot 2000, just dial it down a little if your scared. (Maybe that's not the right word) nervous. Anyway I love mine. Good combo with DD III's and PE. Again it's everyone's own choice. It's available to all.

Once again thanks!

Well, I've kinda made up my mind not to do it. At least not for a while. I love my truck too much and can't stand bein' without it. Thanks again for all yer help.
