I have a early 94 2500 2wd that has K&N,TST#8 plate, and no muffler with two 4in duels comin out the back. Came from factory without the cat. Have egt, boost,&trans temp gauges. Trans seems to be built close to right(no aftermarket valvebody?)What would be next?Injector bigger turbo thanks!

Bosch 215 hp injectors would give you a 40 HP & 100 ft. lbs torque increase. Maybe a little more on your truck.

You really can`t go bigger [injectors] because of your 160 HP pump & auto transmission.

The injectors will make a big difference. Your OE ones are very small.

If you installed a set of 300 HP or 370 HP in your engine, most likely (you will) you would get a low speed skip/miss/stumble. It might even shake the truck. It has more to do with the delivery valves are too small to fill the injectors at low speeds on the smaller pumps.

You could install a set of Bosch High Flow delivery valves (about $250-300) and try the larger injectors. They may be OK , may NOT.

You`ll probably notice the "skip" with the 215 HP injectors. I do.

The best approach is to pull the pump and have it calibrated & set up. 400 HP & 4000 RPM`s are possible and anything in between. Piers @ BD Engine Brake can do this. It could get expensive though.

cherokee chief:

In addition to what "HEMI" told you I
would like to add that although you are
having no transmission problems now, if
you went up appreciably on H. P. you will
eventually need a low stall/high perform-
ance torque converter and aftermarket
valve body. Like you, I began my "mods"
with a TST cam plate AND a "Trans-Go"
Shift Kit to raise line pressures. My
stock TC and valve body made it to
98,000 miles before the slippage and
"shuddering" started. As you can see by
my signature all that has changed now!!
Your posts don't say how many miles
you have on your truck.

"HEMI'S" advice on the pump calibration
is very good advice! When I recently
had mine done it made ALOT of differ-
ence in the way the truck runs and
performs!

Good Luck!

Burn up three remans before I build this one my self(with help from dodge trans tech). P. S How much did it cost for major pump mods? How can I find a good shop in my area?
