I talked with Pastor Bob a little about this today, but since a lot of other people might be in my position someday, then this could be helpfull to post where everyone can see.

This is what I have so far:

•Gauges

•Free flowing custom exhaust

•Old Smoky mount (aFe comming soon)

•Pump tweaks and internal mods

•Modified turbo that has been ported.

So next up should be injectors and some porting on the exhaust manifold...

What would be the next step from there? I was thinking the very next purchase after the injectors should be a fuel pin.

Does that sound like a good idea to you guys?

After I get the injectors in, the only limit to my power will be EGT control and my clutch, so I think I should stick to the BOMBing schedule Pastor Bob made up, and after I get the fuel pin, go with the ATS manifold and a new cam... along with a clutch.

Then some suspension/drivetrain mods like airbags, trac bars, and a detroit.

Is all this making sense? Am I on the right track and have the right logic going here?

After injectors I would definitely go with Old Smokys eccentric "fuel pin" - you will like it. POD's and the eccentric should put you past 300 RWHP. Good luck.

Hey Chris,

It was great to talk with you today... . I particularly enjoy the 1st Gen calls... .

I hope you got something from it today, and I look forward to watching your progress as you upgrade.....

Regards, Bob.

I know for sure that I will get an air filter, a borgesson, and a set of injectors this winter.

Then after that I think I'll get the fuel pin. Then after that I will just be fighting egts, so I think the ATS manifold (ported) and a PDR first gen cam are in order.

So is all my babbling sounding ok?

And Pastor Bob: it was great talking to you today. I enjoyed the conversation and gained some knowledge from you... can't beat that! Gotta love talkin' to those jolly northerners!

'eh?

:D

Chris... . do the gov. spring conversion.

I can peg my pyro  No worries mate, I don't pull anything with it... ... but it'll really move :D

CB-

Talk to DonM. THe injectors he sent me are a little hot for my tastes for now, but I have a hurdle you dont have- lack of an intercooler. These things added a lot of bottom end and mid range, pull hard up to the governor instead of drifting off about 300 rpm short of it. Rip emailed me and I told him we'd work things out between the 3 of us. If you're interested, email me. The "Mach1s" (though if the stock non-IC and 185s are supposed to be close, these are a step above that, or mine were in REALLY bad shape) I installed over the weekend helped me leave 30' of rubber on the balcktop outside my buddy's shop, and another 20 or so when I grabbed 3rd. Couldnt hardly break them loose from a rolling 2nd gear start with stockers. I'm going to put a Old Smoky pin on my christmas list. :)

Hopefully, my truck will end up with everything. :D

I'm at 40+ and 1300+, if I had ever let it get that high. Intercooler should bring things down a hair.

I think we all hope for our trucks to end up with everything. Yours can, if you dont do anything stupid, like run off and get married.

jbolt, how do those twins spool? Was it you a few weeks back said they were a hair slow, or had a dead spot; or was it someone else?

Daniel-

Yup that was me. The turbos spool pretty good up to 38psi and then it flattens out. Not sure yet if it's the turbo combo, lack of fuel, fuel delivery or all of the above. I havn't had much time to play lately.

CB- you should talk Mike into letting you try his honed PODs :D

I'm right at 35# and 12-1300 deg. And I really need a Hx35, the ol H1C dont like it.

She just might be overfueled:rolleyes: but it is so doggoned hard to turn it down.

jbolt, I'm thinking you may want to look at your fueling... you shouldn't drop off or loose "pull" in the mid range like that... .

oh, you guys think YOU need more air. . a cam. . a ATS... a fire extinguisher..... I'm at 44psi and 1600*F and that's if I ease off it way before 3200 RPM's... ... AND it's ALL nascar marks fault... . he deliberately infected me, and old smokey made it worse by encouraging me... and so many others that deserve credit... ;):D
