I purchased this truck just a few weeks ago and am pretty unfamiliar with the 24 valve engine and pump setup, my previous cummins was a 12 valve. I am happy to have a cummins again and to renew my subscription to TDR. I have read that the lift pump or fuel pump from Dodge can go bad pretty easy and ruin the injector pump?? Please correct me if I got that wrong. Anyway this this truck has a fuel pressure gauge under the hood and I am wanting to find out what normal pressure is. It reads about 12 to 14 PSI at idle. Thanks.

It'll be hard to tell with the gage under the hood but from what I recall the LP psi should be no less than 10 psi at any throttle position so at 12 - 14 your IJ pump should remain happy, as the others mentioned with a stock unit. Welcome back!
