Well, i got a 12v... :D

It's a clean truck, with low miles on it. The mods are in my signature below. A few more details: the #10 plate is slid all the way back. It has an aftermarket clutch, but i'm not sure what it is... i believe its a LUK, or something like that.

I'm completely new to 12v's, so i really don't know what to expect from this truck, as far as power, egt's, boost, smoke, etc. Any info or speculations about where i should be in these areas would be very much appreciated.

I have a lot of learning to do.

Thanks,

Chris

Bump the timing up a little bit, you got enough fuel for it. 18* should be good. Slide the #10 up to at least the middle to get the actual benefit of having a $200 piece of metal in there:rolleyes: . All said and done, I would guess you are somewhere in the high 300's of rwhp if not near 400. That's just a rough guess and all trucks react a little differently to mods. Best thing is to find a good dyno and mechanic to get you timing bumped and find out what you got.

wsmalley,

Thanks for the info. So from what i gather, the #10 plate isn't doing much of anything, since it's slid all the way back? Where would be a good position to start with? Centered?

thanks,

Chris

Yeah, centered is always a good place to start. See how the smoke and power is to you, then if you feel like it you can slide it forward some until it suits your liking..... for most folks full forward is the way to go:D

You should be in the 350-400HP range. If you look at my sig, you can see where I'm at. That's with the #10 all the way forward, and the slightly modified turbo. I was at about 360hp without the turbo. I can hit 40lbs+ of boost, and 1500* if I'm really hammering it, (which I don't):D. I also have a valet switch, to keep things tame. No timing increase, yet.

I don't see anything about the turbo. AT a minimum you need the 16 cm2 housing. A bigger turbo is highly recommended.

With the 10 in stock position, which is probably . 030" forward of centered, you should make around 340-350 hp.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, i know i need more turbo... it's on the list :D

The truck is making 34#'s boost now. Egt's are low. can definitely use more fuel. Looks like moving the plate is the best place to start... especially since it's supposed to be all the way back at the moment.

Thanks again,

Chris
