I'm looking at a 93 350 4x4 auto with n/overdrive extended cab. cab frame and engine are very clean. 100,000 miles bed is bad from a slide in camper. It has 3. 53 rears. What engine rpm should I see at 60mph? Also what should I be on the llok out for as in trouble? Thanks

DId you say auto with no OD? That isnt right at all. They ALL had OD if they were intercooled.

At 60mph, if it has a stock Torque convertor, you will see anywhere from 1900-2200rpm, depending on the condition of the transmission. Same if you are in 3rd.

I'd look for typical stuff in a 93 truck of any make- front suspension, brakes, rear diff, odd noises, pulling when driving or stopping, u-jopints, interior, wiring nightmares. With that low a mileage, expect to do fuel system and brake system work on it- it has done a LOT of sitting, or a LOT of stop and go driving, neither of which are good for it.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't see any overdrive markings at all and it is intercooled. Truck was used to tow a 5th wheel from long island ny to fla keys every year. It was my ex father in laws truck He passed away a year ago and it sat for about a year before that. Runs good and quiet. He just isn't around to answer most of the questions I have about the truck and its maint.

On the dash, down low and to the right of the steering column, should be a push-button switch, that says "OD OFF" (It will light up orangish/ yellowish when OD is off) There may or may not be a cargo light switch, too, right next to it.

SRW beds are easy to come by (relitively) and not that costly.
