Any tips for reading the transmission dipstick?

Was wondering, what PSI have you guys been using for fuel pressure gauges. (0-30,50,100??). Maybe looking at the FASS 150 here in the next year or two (once they get that noise thing all figured out) . Also, what are the most popular brands for Dodges? I have been running autometer/ISSOPRO in my Fords for years, wondering if the Autometer phantoms/etc. are a good choice... And finally, does anyone put a trans temp gauge in the G-56 transmissions? Right now looking at Pyro, boost, and fuel pressure... As far as i heard the trans temp doesn't move much off the 100 degree mark. Thanks in advance,

Shane

I think most are just running 15-22 psi even with their FASS. 0-30 should work. If your not sure, get a 0-50. That way you will be keeping the pressure in the midrange of the gauge where it is more accurate. Just remember it's hard to see the 7-10 that you have now on a 50 or 100# gauge. I have the ISSPRO gauges and like them. But I've only seen a 0-30# fuel pressure.

Any of you fellas got some pics of the gauges installed on your 2006 CTDs? I am looking to either go A pillar or something like a Quadzilla LCD display on the A-pillar... Anyone use the Autometer Phantom IIs? Do they look good (cause we all know, functionality is one thing, but looking good is the goal) Thanks in Advance,

Shane

I don't have an 06 either but I also have the DiPricol gauges. One is 0-30 fuel pressure, rail pressure, and trans temp (NV 5600). I have the fuel pressure and trans installed in a windshield pod and the rail pressure on the A-piller with the juice/attitude. My fuel system is still stock for now and I only see 7 psi at idle so I wouldn't go anything over 30 psi.

That A-pillar pod, that 2 mounts on top of each other? or a combo deal?

JasonCzerak it is one piece. My picture is just a lilttle poor.

Who makes it? I heard they were making them, but couldn't find one!

I may now have to get that Trans temp gauges for the over head and move my rail pressure down on the a-pillar :)

Thus far I have the rail and low fuel pressure. I think the trans would be next best. Maybe real oil pressure... .
