LOL, hey guys, long time no talk to. Anyhow, I did my brakes the other night and ran into a small problem on the rears. What size is the nut that holds the rear wheel bearings in place ? We ended up doing it the old fashioned way by backing them off very carefully with a small chisel. Not my preferred method but it needed to be done pronto as I was metal to metal on the right rear  . I'd like to have the right socket for next time. If it matters mine was made in St. Louis.

Thanks !

Mine was made in STL, too. I've always favored US nuts over Saltillo nuts, which, I believe, are called cojones. BTW, the socket is 2-9/16 with rounded corners - axle nut socket for Danas.

TOOLMAN ! I was hoping you were still around  . Everythings great here, no complaints. Still have the 12r and got back heavy into dirt riding, hence my absence here

Are you still doing track days with your bikes ?

Well... this thread question sounds like a personal problem.

It's really not the size... ... .

The correct reference here is: Johnny Carson [many years ago], who said, "It's not how big your ears are, it's how well you hear with them. "

Scott...

Man dude, what a question for a "welcome back" to the boards. LOL.

Glad to see your around and still with us... ... ... ... ... ..... Andy

BTW. . As they have said 2-9/16th axle nut socket

Hey FD Dave, great to hear from you as well ! Are you still talkin about realdolls on the chat ? :D

Why Scott, I don't know WHAT you are talking about. :p LOL - I don't get in there much lately. The King Freak Dan is MIA, I think, so the realdoll stuff went by the wayside. There's a whole new generation of freaks in there who probably should find out about that, though. :D

:D I'm stayin' busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest! Hope all is well with you! :)
