what size danas in 2500

I know this is elemental, but this guy told me the rear end on the 2500 is an 80. I always thought we had a 70 in the back and a sixty up front?

Autos have the Dana 70



Manuals have a Dana 80 hybrid

Yea I've got the manual, is it still a sixty up front? Why is the eighty considered a hybrid.

Yes Dana 60 upfront.

From what I've heard, the center section is an 80, and the tubes and hubs are 70. Not sure about the axle shafts though.

Does anyone know the spline count on 2nd Generation front axles? Did they change after '97? Thanks for any tips .

Yes unfortunatly, all autos have Dana 70's.



I haven't broke mine... . yet.
