My radio is on the blink so I'm going to find a new one. I think I'll upgrade the door speakers too--get something good on ebay. Can anyone tell me what size will fit in there? Thanks.
I replaced mine W/ a set of componets a 5 1/2 mid & a twetter Its esey to put in and souds real clean but you might have to upgrade head units all you need is a little piece of strap to secure the twetter the 5 1/5 will go in the same holes.
I replaced mine with 6. 5 component speakers from Crutchfield. All of the 6x9s that I lloked at were to deep to fit in the factory holes. The problem is the window hitting the magnet on the way down. dont think you can fit anything deeper than 2 3/4"
Have had the same problem as above with most aftermarket 6X9's,just too deep. 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 will fit better with minor mods, plus they sound better than most 6X9's.
If it were me I would stick to the 6x9 as they have good mid bass and I find them to be a all around better speaker. They will sound alot nicer if you upgrade the head unit. Either size will sound alot better than the factory, that's for sure. I run JL 6x9's and they fit no problem.
