what size is a stock '06 turbo?

was at the local dealership today ...

they are a good bunch of guys and pretty up to date on what they service ...



while there they asked me how i liked the larger turbo on the '06 vs the '03 ...



i told them that the '06 was twice the truck the '03 was ... 75 hp on paper feels like a lot more ... it's probably just because the 6 speed is putting it all to the ground while the 47re let most of it just slip away ...



then they smiled and asked if i knew how big the '06 turbo was ...



they got me



they told me it was a 58-14 with a big



so are they right?

I believe it has a 9cm exhaust housing and a 62 mm pinwheel. The compressor is bigger on the 600 and up engines than the 03 and 04 trucks. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.



I hear ya about the stock auto. Just pitiful. Hopefully, I'll be DTT'd by the end of the year.

Unless they changed them, 04. 5+ HE351 is a 10cm housing with a 62 wheel. HE341 on the 03-04 is 9cm housing and a smaller wheel.
