You should have a Dana 70 under the back end of that thing. The only thing the 60 was used for is the front.



The nut, as Dan mentioned, is a 2 9/16". Unless you have 3/4" tools, you will need to find a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter as well.



In case you need to know, putting it back together, torque to 120-140 ft-lbs while turning the wheel. This helps to seat the bearings properly. Then, back off 1/3 turn. That's it!

From what I have read, and in my personal experience, a regular 2-9/16 socket wont work. It needs to be the $40 Carquest Special (OK, it dont HAVE to be Carquet, that's just where I got mine). It is a thin wall socket, that has a bar across the top, and says not for impact use. Goes back to 3 classes of tools- metric, SAE, and Dodge only.

Yeah, I just bought one at NAPA today, 31 bucks and some change. The drivers side seal let go sometime in the last couple days, talk about gear oil everywhere :eek:
