2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission What size tires came on 1998 cummins 3/4 tons

I have a buddy that has a 1998 2nd gen. 3/4 ton truck. He has 285/16 inch tires on it now. He bought the truck used. Were the 285,s the orginal stock tires that came with the truck new?He wants to replace them soon. Thanks for any info. coobie

I believe it would have come with 245/75/16's. He can find out by reading the label in the drivers door jamb. Hope this helps

The stock tire size on my 98. 5 2500 is LT245/75R16E

My build sheet also list the same tires.

You could get the truck with 245's or 265's were an option. The 285's fit nice... .
