What size tires will fit ??

I am running 295 70 17 Nittos with a leveling kit on my 04. 5 2500. I want to lose the leveling kit and drop the tires to 285 70 17 Nittos. Does anyone know if they will fit without the leveling kit? 295 = 33. 19 tall & 12. 13 wide

285 = 32. 76 tall & 11. 50 wide.

Should fit OK. . My 01 had 285/75- 16" which is about 32" with no lift.

I was told the fender wells are bigger on the 2nd gens. My truck is a 3rd gen. Thanks for the response. Is anyone out there running this tire size on their 3rd gen. ??

Even the 285/75/17 will fit without a leveling kit on a 3rd gen.

I run that size, no rubs but I do have a wheel that has more offset than stock.

I ran that size on an 03 with oem wheels and they didn't rub either. Both trucks are 4x4 QC SWB and no lift.

A 35x12. 50x17, and the metric equivalent 315x70r17, will fit without lifting. They will just barely rub the lower control arm at full lock and backing up.

The 285's will fit. I ran 285's with no problem before I put my leveling kit in and I'm still running 285's.

I run 35 x 12. 50 x 17 bfg km2's on an 06 megacab no lift. No problems here.

I have the exact size and tire your looking at and they fit with no problems. They're on the stock wheels...

I just put some 285-75-17 tires on mine, fits real nice, with no lift, no rubbing,look great, fills up the wheels wells and looks much better.

35x12. 5 on stock wheels clear the body of a stock truck.
