I'm interested to see what the current members have for a spray-in liner. I know that this topic is going to be more a personal preference, therefore I like to hear comments from those members that have had experiance with more than one brand of a spray-in liner.

It also depends greatly on what you want to haul in your bed. I use mine for a large slide-in so a non-slick liner was a necessity.

The installation is more important than the brand. A crappy install will ruin even Line-X...

I have had both Rhino and Line-X, and Line-X lasted longer. The Rhino is too soft for my liking. The Line-X has stood up better to the gouges and dragging.

My truck had a plastic liner in from new. I pulled it out. I've looked at Rhino, T-rex, and Linex. I like the line-x the best. A local body man also has a product that is hard and slick, but it's a little thin for my liking.

I'm pretty set on getting a Line-x job done.

Has anyone tried the do it your self bed liner stuff. I was thinking about trying it on the front of my travel trailer. Should prevent lots of rock chips

Installation is as important as the product. I went with Line-X, and am thrilled with it. Dragged all kinds of heavy stuff across it, and no damage yet.

I have the rhino. Good nonskid. Bad parts are fading and it can get ripped by sharp objects. I am still happy with it but I think I will go with linex on the next truck.

I have had Line-X. So far didn't like it, But I think it was the preperation more then the product. it was sprayed on real thin. Did not last, Got torn by objects, Etc.

My Friend did get Line-X put in his bed Somewhere else and has lasted. So I think it depends on who does it.

My Line-X didn't hold up well... . faded after a year, and gouged real easy. One place that was gouged out, it was pulling away from the bed. I ended up easily pulling up about a 1-foot circular section from the bed. It wasn't put on real thick, either.

Having purchased a Perma-Tech dealership, I went ahead and sprayed it over the Line-X. It looks quite a bit better.

Running without the tailgate for advertising purposes, it's nice not to have to worry about stuff sliding out the back.

And the UV protection built into the Perma-Tech chemical formulation makes it unique on the market. No worries about fading !

We use at least 5 gallons of chemical on a long-wheel base truck, to ensure that the customer gets his or her money's worth.

As others in the TDR say, a lot of it has to do with the installer.

Briar, is a Perma-tech priced comperable to a Rhino or Line-x? Unfortunately, you're wayyy too far to come for a liner, but I'm curious if I should look for a dealer around here.

Yes, Perma-Tech is priced competitively. I feel, based on my research, when I was shopping for a bedliner franchise or dealership to purchase, that Perma-Tech is the best value going out there. Many, many reasons... not the least of which is the UV protection built-in, where the other brands only offer a top coat at an extra charge... .

Perma-Tech is well-entrenched in the industrial coatings market, and they do a booming business in coating everything from the inside of tanks, to brick-crushing augers.

You can find a dealer near you by going to their website, www.perma-tech.com

I had Rhino in the 95 & have Line-x in this one. Both are lasting & are bullet proof. Oo. I removed & prepped the 5th wheel brackets & they squirted them as well.

The Rhino was 'softer', but you couldn't dent, lift or scratch it. The 'softer' surface made things move around less in the bed.

Sounds like a perfect example of a poor installation!!! I have drug/pushed/slid 200 pound chucks of concrete over my Line-X, as well as drag my 100 pound steel hitch accross is before installing it. I have not had one tear or popped up piece yet. Mine was also properly installed. Sounds like yours wasn't. Line-X also has UV protection available now. When mine was installed 5 years ago, they didn't. I have some minor chips and yeah it has faded some, I't's going in next week for a free touch up and UV protection.

I have a Duraliner Bedliner. I had Line-X sprayed on the lower 12" of my truck, all the way around, bumpers included (Sport Truck) because the rocks were chipping me up pretty bad. So far,so good!Oo.

i have the Herculiner, great for the $100, but definately nothing compared to the thick spray-on bed liners. i do have a bed mat too. the great thing is that i can touch up the bed at any time. there's obviously no UV protection as it faded within a week. My dad has a rhino liner and has had great luck with it.
