I just installed (with the help of a fellow TDR member) a set of new 275's in my truck. What switch setting (3 jumper settings to choose from) do I use on the EDGE EZ (prior to the injector upgrade I was using position 3). I'm assuming for most HP to leave the EDGE EZ in positon 3 (I don't care about smoke, just HP).

Thanks in Advance.

If you don't care about smoke, position #3 (stock position) is what you want. I'm running mine in position #2 with DD2's - it cuts down on smoke somewhat, but I can still lay a pretty good off-boost cloud!!

Actually, position #3 won't make more peak BHP than positions #1 or #2, but the truck will feel more responsive on throttle application since the EZ will pick up additional fuel earlier (i. e. , at lower boost) when set on position #3. Maximum fueling doesn't change.

Thanks Rusty,

I've got the EDGE EZ boost turnbuckle (fitting) installed and around town when I get on it (level road conditions) , I see a maximum of 25-26 psi of boost. Shouldn't I be seeing a full 30 psi (with the EDGE EZ fitting)? I know I don't have any leaks.

Maybe I need more of a load to see full boost, like an incline or pulling a trailer. Any thoughts?

Jebia:

I run an ez and 275's. My ez is on setting 2 for the same reasons as Rusty keeps the smoke down a bit at takeoff or off-boost. If I recall correctly the settings are full fuel at 3psi setting 3, full fuel at 10psi middle setting and full fuel at 20psi first setting. I also would see a max of about 27 psi until I added the 275's then it started doing 29-30 and I get an occassional 32psi. You are right, load does figure into it for sure.

I love smoke

On the Fun side, the other day a guy cut me off leading up to an intersection, I just happened to have my trailer on the truck, EZ on #3 and 275's, with the trailer I'm able to create alittle more "diesel dust", well I noticed this guy had his window down(see where I'm going with this?) so at the next intersection i made it to the left hand lane, he was in the right Oo. light turns green, inside of his junked out car turns black, I luv diesel dust!!

I did the same thing yesterday, a teen in a fast n' furious car, cut me off, you know the kind of car, with $6K worth of wheels but no air conditioning.

Any way he cuts me off and a few others, but at the next light t we end of near each other (actually I'm ahead of him again). His non air conditioned car (his drivers side window is open cause its 98 deg out). is about 3 feet away from my 4 inch bd eshaust pipe. When the light turns green I floor it on purpose and my ez on position 3 and my '275's produced a mighty wind of smoke right into his open window.

He becomes dazed and actually drops back a bit.

Ain't karma a *****.
