Competition MN and WI: RockFalls Raceway May 5th?

Competition Coating Pistons ??

I have just installed a ranch hand legend front bumper and now have a saggy front end. I have a thread in second gen forum with few replys.

I figured this would be a better place for advice. What is the best product to just bring the front back to stock height and good ride quality. I would rather not do a leveling kit because I pull a lot and don't like the front being that much higher with trailer on back. I would like stock like rake. I have rancho 5000 on now and am going to upgrade to 9000 adjustables soon.

What is my best option for what I want. Would the stock snowpl;ow pacage springs be ok or would aftermarket springs be better for this?

It will take a heaver set of front springs with the heaver front bumper If you are interested I have a set of new 988AA springs for it

they are factory springs a little heaver than snow plow I had them in for less than 200 miles they gave me an 1 1/5 inches of lift I needed a little more I bought them last mo. for $130. 00 ea.

Read my sig here is what you can expect I also pull a lot loaded mine is level

Does the leveling kit just raise the front or does it have anything for the back to add? Some have said the 988AA springs are too stiff. But are they too stiff even with extra 200lbs on front or is it just with guys running stock bumpers or no plows?

Here you go hooked up

The dually springs used in the recall are VERY inexpensive. If your goal is a cheap experiment try them.

Bob

What recall are you talking about?

Read post#9

I am looking for details and keep getting short go nowhere answers

And nobody has actually answered my question about the leveling kits.

Do they add blocks or springs in the back or are they only front end related?

I want STOCK RAKE after perking it up. I want no leveling. I do not like the look of having the front up as high as rear. And if I wanted a Cadilac ride I would have bought a Cadi. But I bought a PICKUP.

Sorry for the short rant but I wanted specifics.

cea0101 spring... ... ... $23. 58 ea retail not a very big investment:rolleyes:

Leveling kits do not address the rear!

I suppose you want some one to install them and tell you how it rode too:-laf :-laf

Well Bob4x4 "who thinks driving in dry sand is 4 wheelin":-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf  You need to get out of cali and try some good ol wet clay called "Gumbo" up here. ;)It Makes black ice look and feel like driving on dry pavement.

I just installed them yesterday and put about 300 miles on between then and now and they ride real nice. Gave me a bit more lift than I thought they would. Measured at centerline on spring/wheel to bottom lip of fender and got 1 1/4 inch lift there and 2" lift at bottom of front bumper receiver but it still looks ok. "Real glad I didn't go with a leveling kit" after seeing it. It handles/corners better on the pavemnt also. I rides about the same as before but transfers the road crack noise through the rig a bit more but not the feel which is ok with me. Now to see if they settle down just a bit over time a 1/4" less height would be perfect.

I set the old and new spring beside each other on floor and they were exact same height.

You would love it here then. Middle of a drought so its dry and 90-110 temps from july to sept every year. And lots of sand and everything else that makes 4 wheelin fun. :D
