I have started the downhill slide of bombing my truck. I have installed the HRVP44, and before I do anything else to it I want to address my transmission. I was thinking of just putting a new valve body and TC on it. (I won't mention the brand I was thinking about because I have seen what that does on this site. ) I don't plan on trying to create massive amounts of hp but I will be chipping it and possibly a turbo. I pull a trailer alot also, do you all think that will be enough?

Alot depends on that trailer weight. For long term, more then what you mentioned is required. For a short term quick fix, alot do it, but down the road have to go back in, anyhow.

Again, it depends on alot of variables.

Just do it right the first time and you will come out ahead. I think

we have all said well this is all I am going to do to my truck

but once you start it's like a addiction at least thats what the

wife said. :-{} But have fun. :-laf Oo. :-laf

It is around 500 every time you RandR the transmission. Pick the best and do it once. A good performance transmission is equal to a good bom anyway. If you think you will be getting an exhaust brake some day, then get the billet input and 2nd gear cage. It is a lot of money and my DW is still not happy about the money spent North of the Border, but I love it everything it shifts solidily into the next gear. Based on my location, my selection was a not brainner. SNOKING
